Hemingways Cocktail Bar Horsforth From 1939 – 1960, Hemingway lived and documented his time in his second home, Havana, Cuba. He had fallen madly in love with all of its intricacies, cultures and lifestyles. From its hunting and fishing to its nightlife, bars and of course, food. As Papa Hemingway famously said “Don’t bother with churches, government buildings or city squares; if you want to know about a culture, spend a night in its bars” ….Never a truer word was spoken.
