Dear all,

Our beloved friend and colleague Sharif put up a massive fight. We are so sorry to tell you that he has lost his battle against a very rare and vicious disease.

It is some comfort that he passed away peacefully with his family around him but for all of us at Mint it is devastating news. Our hearts go out to all those close to this big man.

Part of our lives. A big part of our history. Somehow over 20 years he made a difficult job seem effortless and along the way received not just our love and respect but also yours .

The messages received once you knew the situation proved this - and we can tell you meant so much to him.

A unique character and personality who spoke to us all with a gleam in his eye.

We are going to miss him very much.

Raffi. Thats the name of Sharifs 12 year old son, although he has an amazing family around him we would like to help Raffi to start the journey he now must take without his Dad.

Our beautiful friend Sharif, a true gentleman, Leeds hospitality legend and our head doorman of 20 years has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. We are still all in shock and still can’t believe it.

It has been truly amazing to watch all Sharif’s family & friends come together at this difficult time to ensure he has all the support and care he deserves.

Sharif would really love to be able to visit his brother’s family in Tampa Florida and Jodie Osakwe has therefore decided to create this page to see if together we can fundraise this money to give him this opportunity while we can. We would need to ensure he is travelling first class to make sure he is comfortable, and his care needs are being met on this long flight.

I know Sharif is loved by many, whose lives he has touched with his infectious smile and warm greeting. Any money raised that is surplus to this initial goal will be given to his family.

Thank you in advance to everyone who donates, no matter how small. Let’s show Sharif just how much respect we all have for this amazing guy.

Our head doorman for 20 years Sharif has been stricken with a very serious illness. So sudden that we cannot quite take it in.
Sharif. You are a part of our family. You are a Mint legend and friend to all of us.

We love you and are praying for you and your family

2 Years today! After 20 years, we said goodbye to our amazing little club. 💚💚 We look forward to making new memories over at Mint Warehouse this coming June for the Grand Re-Opening part 2!
