Furry Indie Night 2000-2025

Hey folks 👋

After 25 years of Furry Indie Night, I've decided to put the name to rest.

No point in banging on about it, but the name is now problematic. Furry now means something on a global scale that didn't exist 25 years ago, and it makes it difficult to push online without getting some confusion, which might not be the best of things...

But FEAR NOT!!!

I'm launching a new night of fresh indie music tomorrow, which will be the same vibe, wearing a different hat.

It's a shame, but it is what it is! And if you want your indie fix, the tickets go on sale tomorrow so keep 'em peeled!

25 years of Furry Indie night ✌️❤️

I just want to say a huge thank you to every single one of you for being a part of the last quarter of a century of indie tunes at Furry.

The night was wild. So many old faces plus new ones too. Some not even born when I started this journey.

Furry was, and still is, my sliding doors moment in my life. It showed me that I could follow through on ideas. They could work and they could be fun! Without Furry there would have been no live gigs or additional club nights from myself. More importantly, there'd have been no IO Radio which has, without a doubt, been the project that I'm most proud of and has left a footprint on our town in so many positive ways ❤️

My career with Hopsters wouldn't have even started without Furry and the taste for self employment that it gave me.... so when I'm saying thank you, I really mean it.

This currently feels like some sort of crazy Indian Summer for club nights. I'm not sure how it'll end. I was 26 when I started Furry and I'm now 51.... I'll keep playing if you keep dancing 👊 Deal? Deal.

Just over a week, folks. Furry indie night turns 25!

Tickets are now the proverbial hotcakes, so if you're umming and ahhing, then whichever one of those is buying a ticket, then you should do just that.
