Yesterday was one of the hardest days.
We said goodbye to Maddy. I am finding it difficult to process and no words will come that sound right or do her justice to how much she meant to us all. It's impossible to put into words the sadness of losing someone so young. It was a heartbreaking reminder that life is so precious and a shock to us all. None of us Pretty Girls can process what has happened.
She really was the funniest sweetest girl and for someone so young became an integral part of the team. Everyone wanted Maddy on their shift because you knew she could be relied upon even when she came in hungover 😂 she was a calming influence when all around was hectic.
Our customers and regulars loved her. She was kind and attentive and nothing was too much trouble for her to ensure a good time was had during a visit to Pretty Things.
Behind the scenes she made us all laugh told me what songs were trending and was in charge of Alexa on whatever floor she was working 😂 we always had fun in Pretty Things every single day and Maddy just added to that. She had the knack of being able to work hard always give her best and it was all done with humour.
On the last day of closing I was heartbroken and so was she. Begging me to set up another business so she could come back and work for me. I took that as a huge compliment ❤️ she was literally behind me, amongst others, as I closed the door for the final time and for that she will always hold a little corner of my heart.
All our thoughts love and deepest condolences are with her family and friends and everyone who loved her. There is no sense as to why she was taken from us all so young. Rest in Peace Maddy you will always be remembered. Heavens gain is Horsham loss.
