We have some exciting news! Some things are changing… but in the best way.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be bringing things together and repositioning our accounts — making the most of the wonderful community that’s grown over the years through The Left Bank Village. It felt a shame to let the community drift away, so instead, we’re carrying it on — and we’re really pleased to have you with us.

For those who may not know us yet… a proper introduction is overdue.

Welcome to Lyde Court, a family run Wedding and Events venue that opens Thursday- Sunday as a Restaurant-Bar. We host a huge range of functions and have appropriate accommodation for all from the Bridal Suite and VIP rooms to quirky Oast house sharing rooms, camping pitches and dorms fitting up to 22 people.

You’ll still find your favourites on tap, good food, wildlife, open gardens and public footpaths- with our 360 triangulation point view waiting at the top. Because we do so much, we are splitting our social accounts into 3 separate handles.

- Food, speciality drinks, new menu items, team content, and the community that bring it all together🍻🍴

- All upcoming events, live music and band nights, party highlights, private hire spaces, and behind the scenes🎙️🎪

- A closer look into our ceremony spaces, varied set ups, trusted suppliers and all things weddings💍🥂

However you join us, we’re always happy to have you along. We look forward to sharing this exciting new chapter with you!🤎

"Lock up your nan – we’re going on tour!"

Side-splitting stories and totally inappropriate games
Wild audience interaction and unpredictable surprises
A fully stocked bar and zero judgement

Minneapolis-born, Scotland-based singer-songwriter known for their poetic lyricism and evocative storytelling. Faith honed their craft in the Edinburgh DIY music scene, performing in folk pubs and singing backing vocals before emerging as a distinctive songwriter.

Their debut solo EP Insects (2016) was followed by the critically acclaimed album Impossible Bodies (2019), released via their own label OK Pal Records, co-founded with musician Hailey Beavis.

Deeply influenced by mythology, history, and the natural world, Faith’s music blends intricate narratives with atmospheric arrangements, creating a unique space where folk traditions meet contemporary sonic explorations.

Their new album dryas (released 31st May 2025) crafted in close collaboration with producer and multi-instrumentalist Robyn Dawson, showcases an expansive and ambitious evolution of their sound. Featuring contributions from a diverse array of musicians, the record fuses orchestral elements, electronic textures, and found sounds to build immersive sonic landscapes.

As a songwriter, Faith approaches music as both a means of storytelling and a vehicle for curiosity, weaving together influences from archaeology, internet culture, and surreal imagery. With dryas, Faith continues to push boundaries, offering listeners an intricate and deeply personal journey through resilience, adaptation, and the strange beauty of the world around us.

We are thrilled to welcome Faith Elliott to the Upstairs in De Koffie Pot – don’t miss out, and grab your tickets today!

Cardiacs and Henry Cow adjacent avant pop prog uniqueness! Bob Drake’s journey in music covers 5 decades and more genres than you can be bothered to read in this description.

His songs are idiosyncratic (“to a fault”), with an emphasis on the interest of melody. On his recordings he plays almost all the instruments himself, and the music has elements of progressive rock, country/blues and “bizarro pop”.

Live outings are rare! Not to be missed…

The Left Bank Village is thrilled to welcome Weirdshire back to the Speakeasy this September, as they present Plague Doctors Cure All!

📆 Tuesday 2nd September
⏰ 7:30pm - 10pm
📍 The Speakeasy
🎟️ £10

Certainly one of the most positive things to come out of those peculiar pandemic years, The “Plague Doctors Cure All” was formed in 2022 by Welsh-based saxophonist and local music community champion Lyndon Owen.

Their music eschews classification, taking from rock, metal, funk, gothic and jazz in a fully improvised set that will drag you in from the start and kick the hell out of any musical preconceptions you may have, with relentless energy, sounds and theatrical visuals rarely presented to a jazz audience.

Owen delivers an expressive palette of sounds on tenor and soprano sax and Electronic Wind Instrument (EWI). Distinctive Worcester bass virtuoso and proper gent Liam Lee-Hynes throws himself with irrepressible energy into the entire performance, with Will Cass spilling ‘Frippish’ guitar all over the place….

We are thrilled to welcome Plague Doctors Cure All to the Speakeasy – don’t miss out, and grab your tickets today!
