The week ahead at Barnaby’s Lounge is one of those beautifully unpredictable line-ups that only seem to happen when music, art, conversation, food and community all end up sharing the same address. 🎷🍷✨

From writers gathering around notebooks and coffee cups, to jazz trios, acoustic sessions, visual art, open mic discoveries and late-night karaoke, this week moves through genres and moods like a well-curated playlist.

A different kind of energy arrives at Barnaby’s as gaming, competition and community take over the lounge for an evening of esports and social connection.

TUESDAY 2nd JUNE
✍️ Writers Café | 3.00pm–5.00pm
A welcoming space for writers, dreamers, poets and notebook collectors. Whether you're working on a novel, a lyric, a screenplay or simply trying to get words onto paper, pull up a chair and join the conversation.

🎤 Open Mic Hosted by Konarucchi | 7.00pm
One of Barnaby’s most loved nights. Musicians, poets, storytellers and first-timers share the stage in an evening where anything can happen and often does.

A night of accomplished live musicianship featuring guitarist and songwriter Paul Huggett and band, bringing together groove, soul, blues influences and original material in Barnaby’s intimate listening-room setting.

🎭 Custard Caravan Presents: Lorrain Bowen & Karina Townsend | 4.30pm
Expect wit, character, eccentric brilliance and plenty of surprises as two distinctive performers bring their unique creative worlds together for a wonderfully off-centre afternoon.

🎷 Amber ~ Ali ~ Katz Jazz Trio | 8.30pm
A rich evening of contemporary jazz, groove, improvisation and musical chemistry from three outstanding performers sharing one stage.

Lily Ramona started singing in pubs at 8 years old, then formed the folk/country trio the HANK DOGS with her dad and step-mum. Signed and produced by Joe Boyd (Nick Drake, Incredible String Band, REM) they toured the world, including a US tour supporting Joan Baez.

A hugely respected figure in contemporary UK folk, Trevor Moss has played major festivals including Glastonbury, Cambridge Folk Festival and Green Man, and toured internationally everywhere from The Royal Albert Hall to the Ryman Auditorium. Over more than twenty years he has released multiple acclaimed records, and shared stages with artists including Tori Amos

Enjoy an evening of live acoustic music alongside cocktails, world wines and delicious food from Powell’s Kitchen. Ideal for lovers of singer-songwriter sessions, folk acoustics and relaxed Saturday night vibes.

"It Came From Outer Space" lands at Barnaby's Lounge on Saturday 30th May at 4pm.

Created by Haydn Cornner and Steve Bowditch, this wonderfully strange Jazz Pop Noir Cabaret blends dark humour, sharp observations, original songs and theatrical storytelling into a performance that is equal parts concert, cabaret and cosmic daydream. Expect the unexpected.

Described as dark, satirical jazz-pop noir, the show moves between the moody and the absurd, the beautiful and the bizarre, with tongue-in-cheek observations about modern life, all wrapped in outstanding musicianship.
