Alongside music, Benjac is a very successful visual artist and designer. He has collaborated with names like Critical Music, Eglo Records, David Rodigan, and Goldie. His poster work has become an artistic outlet, with venue walls and lampposts serving as his gallery.

The Beat District w/ Balaphonic this Saturday Glossop Market Hall 6pm til late.

Danny Ward — producer, drummer, percussionist and DJ — has spent over three decades shaping underground electronic music through jazz, house, Afro‑Latin rhythm, dub and leftfield dance. Known for his work as Dubble D, Moodymanc, and as co‑founder of 20:20 Soundsystem, he’s collaborated with artists from Fila Brazillia and The Pharcyde to Flora Purim and Nightmares on Wax.

His Balaphonic project channels Afro‑Cuban and Brazilian influences into globally minded, percussive dance music, earning support from Gilles Peterson, Luke Una and Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy. As a DJ, Ward brings deep musical knowledge and instinctive flow across rare grooves, global rhythm, deep house and leftfield selections.

The Beat District starts earlier this Saturday 🎧

With England kicking off in the evening, we're bringing the music forward, with DJ Dr. Sid taking over from 3pm–8pm.

Known for his infectious energy, vintage style and love of vinyl, Dr. Sid takes you on a musical journey through the last 100 years, with jazz gems, dirty blues, classic soul and plenty of funky favourites along the way.

With The Kefi Social firing up the BBQ from 2pm outside, expect proper festival vibes as the afternoon rolls into the football.
