First and foremost, we hope that everyone had a great Christmas and New Year! 2020 was a challenging year for us all so it's great to finally see the back of it. Hopefully some sort of normality isn't too far away now.

For us, 2020 started with bringing in the bells at Hillhead Bookclub alongside We Should Hang Out More - WSHOM before throwing our ‘Euro Trip’ party in January sandwiched beside an appearance at The Blue Arrow courtesy of Belly Tree and 2k-Ok the following night. In February we made a brief appearance upstairs at The Berkeley Suite for Midnight Bass.

With things going so well, we had some exciting stuff scheduled for the following few months.

You know what happened next... Everything was put on hold, with the government forcing the temporary closure of all nightclubs and bars with immediate effect to stop the spread of the virus. Pints were swapped for cans and clubs were swapped for streams.

Despite clubs closing for the majority of the year some amazing music was released and as always, we have compiled a youtube playlist full of our favourite tracks over the past 12 months including tracks from Yør Kultura, Adam Pits, Marlon Hoffstadt, Dua Lipa and many more.

We hope you enjoy and fingers crossed we can see you all in party mode some time in 2021.

Back this month for Bandcamp Friday with a tasty wee selection of Songs/EP's/Albums! Lots of very enjoyable and nice music for all to enjoy :) :) :)

If you can, try and support artists on this day through buying music on Bandcamp! This goes a much longer way than just listening to their content on streaming platforms, where just minuscules of the royalties are rewarded to the artists.

We return this month with our July buymusicclub selection, which includes many of our favourite recent releases from artists such as Brame & Hamo, Matisa, Adam Pits, Pablo Bozzi and DJCJ.

The current movement is something we are in full support of in these tough times for the music industry. There is much needed government intervention in order to aid venues, companies and workers across the industry who are being badly affected. Hopefully with continued support this will help to ensure things will eventually go back to normal in all areas of live music.

With the pandemic affecting the music industry in many unfortunate ways, there has certainly not been a reduction in the quality music being released out there!

Bandcamp are again waving their revenue fees, so make sure to check this playlist out if you're looking to to support good causes, artists and labels today. 📚📚📚

Carrying on from last months selection, we have posted some more of our favourite releases from the past month or so over on our buymusicclub page. This list includes tracks from Marlon Hoffstadt, Reznik & Good Guy Mikesh, Kincaid - UK and many more.

We have also included a few of the newly released label compilations that we have been digging from the likes of Permanent Vacation, Nous'klaer Audio and Planet Euphorique.

Bandcamp once again are waiving their fees for today only, so now is the best time to buy and support your favourite artists.

As well as Bandcamp waiving their fees, a few of these releases will see profits go towards charitable causes such as Black Lives Matter as well as supporting foodbanks and the NHS.
