Today we were delighted to host an engaging roundtable discussion with Adam McGeoch from the Bank of England, bringing together a carefully selected group of members from across Moray and the wider region.

The session provided valuable insight into the current economic outlook, whilst also giving local businesses the opportunity to share their own experiences, challenges, and opportunities directly with the Bank of England.

Attendance was by invitation only, with businesses selected from specific sectors requested by the Bank, helping to ensure a broad and meaningful discussion around on-the-ground economic conditions. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed so openly to the conversation - it was a fantastic, highly engaged session with some incredibly valuable perspectives shared around the table.

We hope to host more opportunities like this in the future and continue giving our members a voice in important national conversations.

Keirans Legacy Enters Year 10: £10,000 Fundraising Goal Launched

This weekend, Keirans Legacy marks a significant milestone - entering our 10th year of turning tragedy into life-saving action across Scotland.

Since our official start, we've:

🧡 Distributed 336 defibrillators across Scotland

🧡 Trained thousands in lifesaving first aid and CPR

🧡 Equipped every Police Scotland Road policing unit with defibrillators

🧡 Contributed to 33 lives being saved

As we begin year 10, we're launching our £10,000 fundraising goal to continue putting life-saving equipment and skills within reach of every community.

Every second counts. Every defibrillator matters. Every person trained is a potential lifesaver.

Help us reach £10,000 and keep the legacy alive.

A 90-year-old resident at a Cullen care home is preparing to take on an uphill sponsored walk in support of a local mental health charity.

Margaret, who lives at Wakefield House, will take on the challenge on Monday 1 June, walking the half-mile route from the care home to the summit of Castle Hill to raise funds for Feeling Blue.

She will be joined by Wakefield House manager Jamie Grassick, who will support her along the route to the landmark hilltop overlooking Cullen.

The challenge will raise money for Feeling Blue, a north-east charity which provides support to people experiencing loneliness, isolation and mental health difficulties.

Castle Hill is one of Cullen’s best known local landmarks and offers panoramic views across the Moray Firth.

Jamie said: “Margaret has shown incredible determination and enthusiasm for this challenge, and everyone at Wakefield House is right behind her.

“She’s an inspiration to us all. This is not only a fantastic personal achievement, but also a wonderful way to support an important local charity that does so much for people in our communities.

“We’re hoping as many people as possible will get behind Margaret and support her fundraising effort.”

Margaret is well on her way to achieving her £500 target, with £185 already raised.

Applications Now Open for Moray Chamber of Commerce's Chosen Charity!

Moray Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the exciting opportunity to be the supported charity at Moray’s premier black-tie event, the Annual Business Dinner 2026.

Taking place on Friday 2nd October 2026 at the stunning Gordon Castle, the evening will bring together around 400 distinguished representatives from across the local business community.

The evening’s centrepiece will be the presentation of the prestigious Moray Chamber Business Award, recognising a company that has made a significant contribution to the local economy over the past year. The award will be presented by Johnston Carmichael Chartered Accountants, this year’s official award sponsor.

As in previous years, the event will raise vital funds for a local cause. In 2025, as part of the Chamber’s 20th Annual Dinner Celebrations, the charity auction raised an incredible £13,500 for Step by Step in Moray, supporting their essential work, including free groups and one-to-one support for expectant and new parents.

Applications can be made by visiting https://www.moraychamber.co.uk/annual-business-dinner-charity-beneficiary
