Pollyanna showcases performance art, drag, live music and the best and messiest of Fringe talent. Late night cabaret in the Fringe. Hold your cocktails tight.
It's 'down-and-dirty' (Scotland on Sunday) late-night cabaret, Pollyanna. Amongst DJ's, drinking and flirting, join host Pollyfilla, 'slightly terrifying, slightly post-apocalyptic' (FreshAir.org.uk), for a showcase of performance art, drag, comedy and best/messiest Fringe talent. Featured in To Do List’s Top 40 Unmissable Fringe Shows 2015. 'Pollyanna at Paradise Palms provided stages for all man
ner of freaky queer experimenta, drag and otherwise. The sight of Pollyanna host Pollyfilla marauding on all fours around the bar, heels akimbo, was a reminder of the idea that drag can go wild' (NotTelevision.net). Please catch if we fall offstage…

We sat down with other trans women to get sleepover-honest about bodies, s*x, and love. Now, armed with killer dance moves and lots of baby oil, we're leading you through a fever dream of hilarious and gut-wrenching confession. We're going from pleasure to pagan ritual, from Barbara Streisand to B**M. And no – there are no actual monologues…”

We are soooo excited to announce that OMOS will the the opening film at Glasgow Short Film Festival 2023!
Taking centre stage at our opening event, we’re delighted to screen OMOS and share its multi-sensory delights. This moving and moreish artistic collaboration between award-winning artists pays homage to Scotland’s untold Black history and celebrates Black performance in Scotland.
Riding high on the success of political revenge fable TERROR NULLIUS (GSFF 2019), Australian collective Soda Jerk will return to GSFF with more delicious morsels. Made entirely with sampled footage from mainstream media, their new feature Hello Dankness, constructs a rogue and meme-filled commentary on recent American politics.
Special thanks to our official media partner, The Skinny, for supporting this screening!

Pollyanna, the infamous late-night showcase of provocative performance, q***r cabaret and abstract experimenta has returned. Pollyanna is back for its fourth year and this year is going to be bigger, messier and glitzier than ever before as we join forces and bring you ‘La Tropilocal’ at Paradise Palms and ‘Spontaneous Combustion’ at Fireside. Join us for 10 nights across the Fringe for a late-night selection of q***r talent and get ready to indulge yourself in the beautiful, the disastrous and the unpredictable.
At the helm is our very own alt-drag q***r creature, Pollyfilla. Previously Pollyfilla has stunned audiences with the infamous ‘Brexit: The Musical’ and ‘Theresa: The Musical’ so expect more mess this year. Pollyfilla is joined nightly by resident queen of queens, Desert Storm, and Pollyanna’s very own DJ, Kathmandu, who will be playing us into the night.
With new q***r talent emerging all the time, no two nights are the same at Pollyanna. With more than 100 acts contributing their glitter, sweat and tears over the past three years, ‘for those seeking the edge of q***r creative talent, this is not one to miss.’ (Broadway Baby, 2017).
‘In the context of an-ever-more-commercialised Fringe, it’s a down-and-dirty joy to find a regular free event showcasing material from beyond the mainstream and, as the shows turns into a party, providing a space to keep the vibe going. Given the chance, people can find paradise in the strangest of things’ and not to mention places. (The Scotsman, 2017)
11pm until late throughout August
We will be part of LA TROPILOCAL COCO LOCAL at Paradise Palms: Every Sunday night and Gilded Balloon Patter Hoose on 9th + 10th from 12pm
