For this epic edition of Revolt! Artistic duo Robyn and May Taylor ( ) have created work comprised of film and sculpture to “delve deeper into our creative selves and our feelings after finishing a degree in fashion”. Showcasing their collections ‘Evolution of identity’ and ‘the quest of self expression’ they aim to allow the Revolt audience to share and celebrate the ideas of self-love and the creative process.

To celebrate our first year anniversary we have invited Robyn and May Taylor -- twin sisters and ECA Fashion graduates -- to present some of their recent work. "We created this film and sculptures to delve deeper into our creative selves and our feelings after finishing a degree in fashion." Their works 'Evolution of Identity’ and ‘The Quest of Self-Expression’ invite the audience to "celebrate the ideas of self-love through the creative process." Their work will be exhibited on the upper floor of the club and they will also have t-shirts available to pre order, and other merchandise available on the night.

Revolt is our attempt at interlacing the clubnight experience with a holistic experience of creativity and experimentation. Each edition features a unique art installation made by artists from Edinburgh and beyond, as well as uniquely-crafted sounds and visuals from residents Petfood and Harley Beentjes.

Creating a space that allows for total freedom of expression without boundary is one of our central tenets. Revolt is a space for liberation of all kinds. Respecting your fellow partygoer is an obvious imperative. As such, we will not tolerate any breaches or abuses of any kind on the night.

Twin sisters Robyn and May Taylor ( ), take over as resident artists for a very special, 1 year anniversary edition, of Revolt! Graduates from ECA, the duo have spent six years studying fashion and are now delving deeper into other mediums such as film and sculpture. Presenting an immersive installation at this edition of Revolt is artist Kat Stanley. Speaking on her upcoming revolting presentation she states - “Folk lore is the art of the people. A manifestation of our instinctual fears and hopes into an entity separate from ourselves, to be observed as something separate from us. My practice is built on the back of such stories, passed down generations through the act of oral storytelling these tales where never meant to be written down.”

Joining us for this unique edition of Revolt is Rio, an abstract artist that focuses on process and experimental mark making. Her paintings predominantly touch upon emotions and expressions that present themselves when working in a flow state. Her artworks do not adhere to a specific aim or form; they are, for her, a series of happy accidents that present themselves as dynamic collages of concepts and expressions.

One half of qik.uh will be joining us on Wednesday -- the versatile DJ and production duo have roots in South Africa but the influences on their music spread far and wide. Showing a keen and careful ear for incising rhythms and distorted synths, qik.uh's musical prowess landed them a spot on Arca's acclaimed MUTANTS MIXTAPE VOL. 2: RIOT with their song 'dropped it all on the floor.' -- expect nothing less from their b2b with Petfood at Revolt.
