Having forged their sound through years immersed in Glasgow’s DIY punk and q***r club scenes, comfort have evolved into one of the UK’s most brutally cathartic live acts. The sibling duo of Natalie on vocals and production and Sean on drums channel raw emotion through a collision of live rhythm, electronic texture and unflinching honesty. Their music reaches for liberation rather than tolerance, dissecting modern life with urgency and compassion. After touring extensively across Europe and Japan, the band continue to build on their reputation for performances that are as physically charged as they are emotionally resonant.

We’ll be back at The Wee Red Bar from 7pm on the evening of Edinburgh Pride with q***r live music. Not affiliated with Pride Edinburgh. Wheelchair accessible venue, gender neutral toilets, 14+ (under 18s accompanied by adult guardian).

Joining Pigeon Pit and Cheap Dirty Horse on Wednesday 10 June we have Scottish psychedelic surf punks Maz and the Phantasms! 🤩🐦 tickets available now 🔗link in bio 🌈🎫🎸

Maz and the Phantasms are a high-energy psychedelic surf punk band from Glasgow, formed by Catalan-Egyptian artist Maz and her friends Jamie Sparkles (guitar), Jude Norton-Smith (bass) and Toby Valentine (drums). Born out of dive bars, DIY tours and late-night jams, the band mixes beach-goth guitars, funky basslines, and spooky synths with a touch of spaghetti-western swagger. Equal parts punk and charity shop glam, their shows are chaotic, sweaty and full of drama, where rock’n’roll meets q***r theatrics and the party always gets a little silly.

PIGEON PIT
Pigeon Pit is a collection of stories wrapped in sunburned skin and a brave heart from a small beach town. They evoke a honky-tonk held in a punk house living room, the Olympia band finds sparks of communal joy while sorting through the stress and grief of daily life offering bittersweet snapshots that stick with you long afterwards. Centred in the now, under a backdrop of rising global fascism and AI battling it out with reality, the band is focusing on how to keep sane and still love and have fun in these dark days. The band went into recording their fifth album, “Crazy Arms” after the busiest year since their founding. They toured for the first time as a full six-piece, played high-profile gigs, like their first Tiny Desk show, played with Laura Jane Grace, and toured Australia and New Zealand. Despite obvious signs of the band’s growing popularity, they still tapped into their DIY roots in recording this one, using a friend’s basement as their studio.

The Wee Red Bar is wheelchair accessible and has gender neutral toilets throughout. 14+ (under 18s must be accompanied by adult guardian). Venue will have a bit of seating on raised benches at the back. Further stools and chairs available on request. For any queries, including carer ticket requests, please email q***[email protected].
