Anderson School of Dance Anderson School of Dance is set within Cooper Hall in Witton Gilbert, Durham, UK. The school caters for children and young people and adults. Thank you.

Anderson School of Dance is a ballroom medallist dance school for ages 3 years to adult and cater for all abilities. We teach and train pupils in Ballroom, Latin American , Sequence (Old Time) and Freestyle Dancing. Classes are held on Friday evenings from 5pm onwards . All classes are run by fully insured , DBS checked , qualified N.C.D.T.A teachers . For further information please leave a post or message privately.

Hello everyone , hope you are enjoying your weekend Saturday .

Just a reminder the Medal Test takes place at Cooper Hall tommorow . Please bring your child at their allocated times . Please read information letters regarding dress etc . Paper results and marks will be given out the following Friday in classes .

Our social summer Display and Medal presentation evening will take place on Friday 12th June . We hope you can all make it but please let us know as soon as possible if your child cannot attend .

Reminder
This Friday is the last dance class practice before the Medal test taking place this Sunday 26th April at Cooper Hall ( please ensure your child attends) .

Please bring your child to the hall at their allocated arrival time on Sunday and read letters sent out carefully in regards to dress, footwear, hair , make up etc . We have skirts for all pupils to use on the day .

Paper results will be given out the following Friday in class, parents may stay to hear these if they wish.

Hello everyone , hope you all enjoyed the Easter break long weekend . 🐰🐣.

Just a polite reminder that all medal tests are now payable and should be paid for this week , please ignore this reminder if payment has already been made .

Letters with more information including about dress , times to arrive etc have been given out or your child will receive this week if they have not already done so . Sorry but times cannot be changed now.

Hello everyone , we know some of you will possibly be away over the school holidays , but just to let you all know dance classes resume as normal throughout the Easter break ( including this Friday ( Good Friday ) .

Medal test exam forms with what tests your child will be ready to take and prices have been given out . Allocated times of arrival and further information will follow this week .

We hope you all have a fantastic Easter break and hope the sun shines to let us know Spring is finally here . Enjoy everyone x🌞🌻🐣🐰

Hello everyone , hope you are all well .

It is coming around quickly so please note the following two dates for your diaries for our annual NCDTA Medal tests :

Sunday 26th April 2026
Sunday 27th September 2026

The Medal test takes place at Cooper Hall throughout the day . You will be allocated an arrival time for your child should they wish to take part nearer to the test date .
Preference of an Am or Pm test can be accommodated ( where possible ) and with plenty of notice .

Further details including which tests your child will be ready to take , prices , dress and other information will follow in due course .

Reminder our christmas party takes place tommorow night for our younger children ( those whose class normally commences at 5.30pm )

The party starts EARLIER from 5.15pm finishing at 7.15pm . There is no charge and a xmas tea is provided .

Our Adult xmas social also takes place tommorow night again commencing earlier at 7.45pm !

Christmas Party date reminder "-

Tommorow night (28th Nov ) at Cooper Hall
6.30pm - 9pm
Pupils that classes normally commence at 6.30 & 7.30pm .
Tea is provided ( including for those children with dietary requirements , we have catered for you all )

NO classes tommorow night for those pupils who normally attend at 5.30pm .
Your party takes place the following week (5th Dec) 5.15pm - 7.15pm .

There is no charge for the xmas parties . We hope to see you all with your best christmas attire on.🤶🎄

Other than the party nights there will be no more dance classes ..Classes re- open on Friday 9th Jan 2026.
