Hello everyone, some good and some not so good news…
The Bad…We sincerely regret to inform you that, unfortunately, due to two members of the core bar team testing positive in the last couple of days, we are left with no option but to close The Secret Garden this weekend. 😞
We fully understand that this will come as a disappointment and please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.
Sadly, without a full team, we simply could not guarantee our customers the same high level of service they deserve and of course, the closure helps protect both guests and staff.
☀️ The news is particularly upsetting for two reasons; the first that the weather is meant to be great (finally 🙄) and the second that this was to be the final weekend of The Secret Garden… is very sad that we haven’t gone out with the bang that we had wanted! 😔
All those holding bookings for this weekend have been contacted.
The hotel remains completely unaffected by this and nobody other than the two members of staff need to isolate as they have not been in contact with the team for some time before their tests. Our dedicated housekeeping team have maintained the highest levels of cleanliness (frankly long before COVID) and this will remain.
However, I would like to take this opportunity to thank two groups of people…
🙏🏼 Firstly, thank you to our guests. New and Loyal. Your custom has been greatly appreciated after what has been a trying year for every hospitality venue. It has been brilliant to meet many of you and to welcome you as it was last year and we very much look forward to seeing you all again very soon.
🙏🏼 Secondly, a MASSIVE MASSIVE THANK YOU to our outstanding team. They have worked tirelessly throughout and have provided consistently outstanding service both with guests and behind the scenes. It simply wouldn’t have been possible without their efforts and I hope they enjoy this weekend off 😉
