As we are getting asked on almost a daily basis if Xmäsfest is coming back for Christmas 2022 we have some rubbish news for you…

As much as we loved running Xmasfest for several years it appears that it is done and done now.
We started very small and grew and grew the event each year….
However with the pandemic making 2020 impossible and then 2021 being an awkward year of will it won’t it basically means that if we were to do Xmasfest again it would start very small and need to grow every year to get back to where we left it in December 2019.

It would be too much time, effort and expense to reignite it again.

We have now closed the Xmasfest Limited company down and really only keep the page alive to reminisce on how awesome it all was…

Maybe one day…

WE ARE AFRAID IT ISN’T HAPPENING THIS YEAR EITHER….. 😔

We are sorry to say that Xmäsfest 2021 is going to sit in the pan with Christmas 2020.. As xmäsfest 2021 isn’t going ahead this year.

Xmäsfest costs a substantial amount to plan and to book in the required suppliers, it’s eye watering infact. This is then recouped by ticket sales.

However if any restrictions come to play in winter 2021 and the event couldn’t go ahead then tickets would need to refunded and it would be devastating for us all here.

We either don’t have the event and jobs, livelihoods are secure, or take a risk and if restrictions come in we go bust. It’s a no brainier.

If this was a normal year and not # # # 2020 we would be about to invite you in to xmasfest2020 for night one.

The doors would have opened to you in just a few minutes time.

However, as it is 2020 our design team didn’t have any images to show you so they came up with a cosy festive pipe smoking worm instead.

So, enjoy whatever none Xmasfest fun you are doing tonight.

WHAT IS HAPPENING CHRISTMAS 2020?

We know you great folks keep looking on our page and website, we see the views...

So we know some of you are wondering when we will announce if XmasFest 2020 is going ahead.

Well the answer is, we just don’t know yet. The hospitality industry will be the last to open, and can we open with a crowd of 300+ people in a structure in December?
Who knows!!!

So,

Plan A would be: Xmasfest goes ahead as soon as we have indication that it can. At that point we start ticker sales.

Plan B would be: we can’t have so many people in one set up so we create 3 individual structures each housing a third of the guests. Each one has a bar, a dance floor and the band and DJ are situated between all the structures with music played in via speakers... not ideal but could actually be awesome.
Once we get indication we would lay out more plans on how this would work and then start ticket sales.

Plan C is that it just isn’t going to happen in 2020. We would be gutted.

WHAT’S YOUR THOUGHTS ON THAT?

Remember we aren’t a big company, just a family from Middleton trying to do something different.

Just to keep you in the loop.

We are very much wanting to run Xmäsfest 2020 this year in Middleton St George near Darlington.

However we don’t want to release ticket sales until this horrible pandemic situation is over, it just doesn’t seem right at the moment to move forwards.

Our plans are to host events on these dates in December 2020.

Friday 11th & Saturday 12th.
Friday 18th & Saturday 19th.

If demand is high and if we can get all our suppliers we may look at extending the event to the weekend prior, so also:

Friday 4th & Saturday 5th December.
