LIMINAL..
Louise Ventris & Paul Crowley.

Two different perspectives on liminal spaces.

Louise draws inspiration from the ‘dead time’ of commuting. The work reflects the sense of isolation and solitude that often accompany these journeys, while also conveying the underlying stress and complexity of our relationship with time and acceleration society.

Paul Crowley’s prints reflect the transience of the city’s architecture. Modernist architecture, rich in ambition. Yet now awaiting demolition.

Spent this afternoon with Alan Denyer at LTB Showrooms checking some visuals for Soul Shack - LTB, Coventry - next Sunday 30th June. The Disco ball is also working and looking good :-). Really looking forward to this. Follow the link for eventbrite tickets. Hope to see you next week.

First of a few posts from me for Humans On Wax X Drft Present: The Discotheques Not Dead Saturday 16th March LTB Showrooms. I'll be kicking the event off at 7:00 - 8:00. Sure it will get heavier and heavier as the night goes on. Two sound systems running from Disco to Tech :-) Sure to be plenty of hard D&B... Fascinating couple of hours at the home of Fred Fabre which doubles as his studio and gallery. The intention was to collect a painting for our first floor gallery at LTB Showrooms. But as expected there was far more to see. Here's a few photos but will post more, to hopefully show more of his amazing home and work.
