Bar Forty One has been proud to serve our local community, sharing great drinks, celebrating special occasions, and creating a welcoming place for family and friends to come together, passionate for serving & supporting our local community and suppliers.
Like many independent bars & hospitality businesses across the UK, we’re facing increasing costs. Rising wages, energy bills, supplier prices, business rates and other expenses continue to put extreme pressure on businesses like ours, all while we work hard to continue opening with keeping drinking and dining out affordable for everyone.
That’s why we’re supporting the ‘VAT’s The Problem campaign’ which is calling for hospitality VAT to be reduced from 20% to 10%.
A fairer VAT rate would help Bars and restaurants like us to :
✅ Keep prices more affordable for our customers
✅ Stay open, Protecting local jobs and support our team
✅ Invest back into the bar, quality and customer experience
✅ Continue being a valued part of our local community
