Dear wonderful people of Strictly Salsa Chichester
It's with very deep regret that we have to inform you that next Monday 2nd November will be the last ever Salsa night at the Vestry.
We were only informed of this last Monday, at the classes, where we were told not to continue the week after next. The reason is that the venue has just changed hands and the new owners have decided to serve food on a Monday evening instead. It would have perhaps been courteous to have been told personally or given a little more notice but at least we were told at all.
Given the nature of both mine and Lemon's schedule we are not currently in a position to find an alternative venue so have taken the difficult decision to close the classes altogether. If, however, we are able to arrange the occasional classes/social in Chichester we will of course let you know with lots of notice...just perhaps not at the Vestry!
We can't thank you enough for all your support and enthusiasm and the warm energy that you have always brought to the classes. We have loved seeing all the regular faces on a weekly basis. It's been a very successful venture in terms of introducing Salsa to Chichester and we are proud that we did it with you. We have also made some wonderful friends along the way and will miss seeing, teaching and dancing with you.
We'd also like to take this opportunity to thank our regular staff:
Anthony 'white shoes' - A superb, passionate dancer, advanced Salsa teacher and a gentleman always. We couldn't have achieved this without you. You are a star!
Etian - The best male Cuban dancer and teacher in the UK who we were just so luck to have. A man with great passion, dedication and style. Thanks for all your support and good knowledge. We are not worthy!
Paul - A fabulous, warm and friendly talented teacher who's support has been invaluable. We love you Paul :)
And last but not lease..
The incredible Peter and Pat for running the door so effortlessly and giving the best welcome that anyone could ever ask for. You have supported this with absolute dedication from the start which is very much appreciated. You are both absolute legends and we love you very very much!
Lastly we'd like to say a huge thank you to the fabulous Vestry staff that have supported us up till now. We have aways felt welcomed and at home and will miss you also. Sorry to have to say goodbye.
So it's the end of this episode but obviously not the end of Salsa so we hope you will find a way to continue dancing and keep in touch with us.
We hope you can all come down for a final dance next week but if not, thanks again and we sincerely hope to see you on another dance floor somewhere soon!
