"What would you recommend?"
That's the main question we get hit with when someone looks at our menu.
And it's hard for us to say "yeah, definitely go for this" because there's so many variables involved.
Maybe there are dietary requirements, maybe you dislike the flavour of a specific ingredient or texture, maybe you prefer sweeter things, maybe you prefer salty...
So it's hard for us to be decisive on your behalf, however if I'm going to be honest. There's something on the menu that simply should never be overlooked and that is it's functionality. How much of the dish you change and adapt to your likes.
And on that note I can tell you exactly what I go for when I am sitting where you are.
Behold:
The Perfect Eggs Benny
1. Let's start with the base - THICK MUFFINS
We get these boys in because they are thick and soft on the inside with a nice crispy outside, each half is about the size of a normal muffin you'd find in any shop. So that's absolutely sorted.
2. Butter - Decent butter
We use high quality salted or unsalted Welsh butter. In everything we do. We refuse to skip out on it, it's all in the detail, and if you keep the small details looked after, your final dish will absolutely be elevated.
3. Creamy leek and spinach.
Part of the Full Vori and the Halloumi Sando, this is literally addictive, super simple but done with care.
4. Confit garlic mushroom.
If you've been in at all, you've probably had the Full Pori. So I don't need to tell you anything. Iykyk
5. Smoked Salmon
Self explanatory, just decent smoked salmon from our friend's
6. Farm Eggs for our poached bois
We get our eggs from , we made this transition soon after we opened and we haven't looked back. It's just so much better... When the vivid orange flavourful yolk makes it way runny way down town you'll agree with us too.
7. The Hollandaise - not just any hollandaise.
We pride ourselves in the details as I mentioned earlier. And the hollandaise has a cheeky secret ingredient to make it stand out from others.
To finish? Black pepper and chives. That's it.
