Missed it yesterday but yeah, this was 3 years ago (yesterday) what a party that was down at Depot with Mauro Picotto, Fergie, Jimpy, This Culture and Richie Knight. As much as I’ve enjoyed District, I don’t think you can beat a large stage setting with lasers, lights and dancers. Epic as f**k!!! 😎❤️👌🏻

There was a time when clubs were rammed, DJs were gods and trance was king.
When weekends started on Friday and somehow carried on until Monday.
When lifelong friendships were made on dancefloors, sunrise was something you walked out into, and that bass hit just as you came up on your first double-drop.
The early 2000s were loud, chaotic, exciting and completely unforgettable.
That incredible era—and everything I experienced during it—inspired Kings of the Game.

Back in 1999, we took over the Wales National Ice Rink in Cardiff for one huge night: MELT IT.

Inferno in the main arena. Miss Moneypenny’s in Arena Two. An 86k Thunder Ridge sound system, neon fish hanging from the rafters and thousands of clubbers under one roof.

Clubavision filmed the event, and more than 27 years later, they've unearthed the original footage.

Really pleased with the feedback. I wasn't sure what people would make of the audio opening of Kings of the Game, so these reactions have been brilliant to read.
More than anything, I wanted the book to take people back to that era — the clubs, the characters, the atmosphere and the madness of it all.
Judging by these first reactions, it looks like it might just be doing that.
