All you need to know is right here👇
At Canterbury, Kent, we're open every
Tuesday evening.
7.15pm - doors open
7.30pm - intermediates freestyle
7.40pm - beginners only (taxi room)
8pm - everyone in main room to continue beginners class from move 2
8.30pm - beginners class ends and you get to dance what you've learnt to music until 9pm..but it doesn't end there..
8.45pm - beginners get to go through moves you've learnt in class with taxi dancers who are experienced dancers that will help you practice what you've learnt in the class. Meanwhile an intermediate class is held for everyone else.
09.15pm - classes finish. You now get to join everyone else for what we call freestyle, where music is played and you get to dance with everyone else for as long as you like. Everyone asks everyone to dance, please don't say no to someone unless you've got a real good reason. We ask for friendliness and encouragement, so beginners don't be afraid to ask/be asked to dance with experienced dancers, and experienced dancers please ask beginners and new people, but do keep the moves easy. Let's all be encouraging and avoid giving negative feedback, as we all want to enjoy the evening and have fun, if we make mistakes that's OK, that's how we learn, just laugh it off.
10.30pm - music finishes and we all go home buzzing and singing our favourite tune of the night. Come on your own or with friends, you do not need to have a partner. Wear what you feel comfortable in, followers (generally ladies) should wear something flat/smoothed soled so you can easily spin. Tap water will be supplied but please bring your own refillable bottles. It is pay as you go, you're not tied into anything. Cost is £12, not bad for 3 hours entertainment! Various offers available, including discounts for NHS staff and students. See www.ceroc.com/canterbury for full details.
