Dear All of Lucy's glowfitters,
I hope you are well. I am writing to you with a heavy heart and a sense of urgency to share some unexpected news about Lucy, your GlowFit teacher.
Regrettably, Lucy has been unexpectedly admitted to Frimley Park Hospital due to a serious health issue. They have found a large blood clot in the main vein that runs from her neck to her. It's a very rare condition called thoracic outlet syndrome. Lucy is currently awaiting urgent surgery to remove the 1st rib, but the medical team needs to first clear the clot, and Lucy must be off the strong thrombolysis blood thinners before the surgery can take place otherwise it's too risky.
This unforeseen circumstance means that Lucy will not be able to teach GlowFit next week and for the foreseeable future for now. The road to recovery is expected to be lengthy, and Lucy is facing a challenging period ahead. It is with great sadness that I inform you that this situation has not only affected her professional commitments but has also led to the cancellation of our wedding reception party next week and honeymoon. As you can imagine she is very emotional, shocked and upset.
Lucy is devastated by this turn of events and wants to express her sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. Once she is back home and on the path to recovery, she plans to organise refunds for any missed classes. However, given her current physical condition, she is unable to make any concrete plans at the moment.
Your understanding and support during this difficult time mean a lot to Lucy. She is hopeful that the medical team will be able to address the issue and help her regain her health. We will keep you updated on Lucy's progress, and we appreciate your thoughts and well-wishes for her recovery. She isn't able to reply easily with one left hand at the moment but if you wanted to whatsapp any messages to her she can read them and I'm sure she will appreciate any kind well wishes.
