Almost one year ago to the day, we had the pleasure of welcoming this man down to Bristol. Little was anyone to know it would be his penultimate set, before he went up to helm the big disco in the sky.

True to form it was absolutely riotous. Andrew Weatherall's is a presence sorely missed - music lost its counter-culture father figure. His vast, incomparable contribution to electronic music didn't stop him getting in touch to thank us the following day. An affable, charming and endlessly witty gent, who must be among humanities' most treasured.

Sisters and brothers.

An unwelcome reminder of what heartbreak feels like today.

Just two weeks ago he was with us in Bristol, administering the ritual in a cloud of incense… Surreal and devastating.

RIP to the Guv - one of the most good-natured, entertaining and wise individuals we’ve had the pleasure to encounter, who stayed truly humble despite his immense musical achievements, influence and talent.

An absolute gentleman whose spirit and creative output will live on and continue to inspire.
