CLOSURE ALERT!!
Don’t panic, it’s only a temporary one 😉
The Pipe will be closed from Monday 6th July for 10 days while we have some essential maintenance work done inside the pub. There has been historical water damage to areas under the floorboards which has slowly got worse over time, and we are at a point where it needs to be fully repaired. What with ‘having a floor’ being a critical element of a pub, we have no choice but to close for the duration of the work. All things being well we hope to reopen at 5pm on Wednesday 15th July 🤞🙏🙏 (and with any luck we will be showing a significant semi final that night 👀 Although that might be pushing it…)
Being closed for any period is tough for a small independent venue to withstand, so if you like The Pipe we will need your support on the other side to help get us back on our feet. It’s an unfortunate situation but one that needs to be addressed, and decided that the week the entire management team all booked off separately might be the best one to do it on 😂
Critically as well it means that this Sunday (5th) will be the last opportunity to get one of Tucha’s famous roasts for a few weeks. She using the closure as an opportunity to do her annual sabbatical to Portugal, and she won’t be back in the kitchen until Sunday 26th July! So if you like the cut of her roast meat, get yourself in this Sunday or spend weeks regretting it…
