After a decade soaking up the UK’s Big Beat, Hip-Hop & Acid House scenes, DJ RYU launched Rockit Science as a reaction against the chin stroking conservatism creeping in at the end of the noughties. Inspired by DJs as diverse as Norman Jay, Soulwax, Scratch Perverts, Coldcut, Erol Alkan, Mr Scruff, Fatboy Slim and Greg Wilson, a house party in a club was born.
