I'm going to try a teaching experiment for Blue Monday's class on 13th.... Most blues classes teach concepts to make sure the lead and the follow are playing those roles and not just replicating movements. I completely support and recommend this style of teaching. However because most people are now solo dancing I am going to teach a solo sequence... This is great, its challenging me to remember what I actually do! It will be great for you too as it helps develop muscle memory in your body for when you come to dance in closed, open or break away with actual humans!

Blues History Snippets: Mammy DaDune was an incredibly famous blues singer and pianist in New Orleans in the 1880's. It was said that folks would que around the block to hear her even if they didn't get in! Unfortunately very little evidence of her playing remains today....
