Job Type: Full-time / Part-time (flexible hours considered)

The Brae Hotel in Shetland is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys early mornings, takes pride in preparing high-quality breakfasts, and wants to work in a friendly, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes to a high standard

Ensure breakfast service runs smoothly and efficiently

Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment

Follow food safety and hygiene regulations

Assist with basic food preparation for later services if required

Monitor stock levels and communicate any shortages

Requirements

Previous kitchen or breakfast chef experience preferred

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Good understanding of food hygiene standards

Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Reliable and punctual

We would like to say a huge thank you to the Shetland community for the incredible support shown during the launch of our new pizza menu.

The response has been truly overwhelming, and the positive feedback and kind comments from our customers have meant a great deal to the whole team. In particular, it has been very rewarding for our head chef to see such enthusiasm and appreciation for the hard work that went into creating the menu.

We would also like to apologise that, due to extreme weather conditions, we have not been able to receive our deliveries and are currently out of stock. Unfortunately this means our pizza service is temporarily unavailable. We will be sure to let you all know as soon as deliveries resume and we are able to offer pizzas again.
