Soul on the Sea

Hello Everyone
It is almost 12 months since we called time on Soul on the Sea on Bournemouth pier.
As many of you know, soon afterwards I opened the doors to a new venue for Northern Soul at the Carrington house hotel in Bournemouth.
I am pleased to say that this has been well received by regular supporters and newbies alike .
This post is quick reminder to let everyone know we are back here on the 2nd of May , if you are interested and would like to come along meet up with friends share the memories we created in the soul room at the pier and make some new ones whilst dancing the night away on a fabulous dance floor at the carrington then grab yourself a pre book ticket by texting the number on the flyer.

Soul On The Sea finished at 18 years and we were so happy to produce such an inivotive event of the day with the two rooms! I want to share the photos of our beautiful attendees that are no longer with us purely for family members to have another reflection of their loved ones enjoying what we did the best! 💔❤️X

Hi Friends and your friends too.
On Saturday I turned the pages on a new chapter for the Incrowd Soul Society .
A new venue had been found that I believed would be a perfect replacement for the Blue Lagoon in Portsmouth, and has many know back in May a mutual decision was made that Lewis Hawkins and myself would call time on Soul on the Sea after 18 fabulous years on Bournemouth pier.
The scene was set Saturday night for my 1st event at the Carrington house hotel in Bournemouth.
We opened at 7.30 and the crowds flocked in from all points of Southern England and further afield .
Throughout the night I was recieving some lovely comments from the attendees.
Since then on here and a pleathora of personal texts has come my way all saying the same .
Great night , fabulous dancefloor and sublime music from the djs.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the djs, the meet and great ladies on the door and all the hotel staff for helping me make the new event a special one.
Future dates will be announced in due course
Finally a massive thank you to all who attended .

If you attended the very last night of Soul on the sea on the 31st of May 2025, on entry or during the night you will have picked up the attached flyer informing you of my new venue which commences on the 2nd of August which is just a few weeks away.
If you have ever been to any Soul on the sea nights over the past 18 years on Bournemouth Pier or any of the Incrowd Soul Society events over the past 34 years then this new exciting event is for you and your friends.
I have put together a fabulous dj line up for the opening night , the venue sports an amazing dancefloor all that is required is the dancers .

Hope you all have had a fabulous wekend .
Here is a reminder of our new event in August, this event is a replacement for our previous events The Blue Lagoon in Hilsea , which is still undergoing major development at the moment and more recently we brought the curtain down on Soul on the sea after 18 amazing years on the pier in Bournemouth.
A new dance floor awaits all in the Carrington Hotel in Bournemouth.

Derek has played a major part on the scene not only in the south but throughout the uk across all the big soul weekenders where you will find him behind the decks filling the dance floors.
Phillip Well
Phillip has over the past decade put neighbouring seaside town of Weymouth well and truly on the map when it comes to Northern/Modern Soul the weymouth soul club hosts 2 weekenders a year plus regular saturday soul nights in the town
Adrian Matthews
Known to many as Matt (Trowbridge) I have known Matt over 30 years he has supported all my events over that period and got behind my decks many times at various venues.
He his currently one of the resident djs at the very popular West Wilts soul Club Hosted by Tim Hayhoe.
