This Saturday, we're finally back

And I'm getting excited now.(like I was in underground seeing MM :) and same time my dress lifted)

After months without our Bournemouth dance floor, in just a couple of days we'll be opening the doors again.

The music will be on.

Shoes will be coming off.

Familiar faces will be returning.

New people will be walking through those doors for the first time.

And DJ Amada will be taking us on our first journey back after summer.

If you've been reading my post thinking
"Maybe I'll come."
This is me giving you a little nudge.

Don't wait until you feel confident enough.

Don't worry about whether you can dance.

Don't worry if you're coming alone.

You are welcome exactly as you are.

Come and move.

Come and shake off the week.

Come and reconnect.

Come and dance like nobody is watching.

And let's squeeze one more little taste of summer freedom out of September together. ☀️

Hey lovely,

There's a moment I love during Ecstatic Dance.
It's usually somewhere in the middle of the journey.
I look around the room
and something has changed.

The people who arrived talking are now somewhere completely different.

Someone is dancing with their eyes closed.

Someone is completely lost in the music.

Two strangers are moving together.

Someone else is having their own little party in the corner. 😅

And suddenly the room feels alive.

It's difficult to explain because I think Ecstatic Dance is one of those things you understand much better when you feel it.

For a couple of hours, you get to put everyday life down.

No conversations to maintain.

No phone in your hand.

No need to explain how you're feeling.

You just get to move with whatever is there.

Joy.
Tiredness.
Playfulness.
Frustration.
Energy.
Stillness.
All of you gets to come.
And afterwards?
The room feels different again.

Bodies softer.

Faces brighter.

People hugging, chatting, connecting.

That's probably the part I've missed most during our summer break.

The community we've created around the dance floor.

Next Saturday, we finally get to come together again. 💛

Hey lovely,

“But I can't dance.”

I've heard this more times than you might imagine when I tell people about Ecstatic Dance.

And I completely understand why.
For many of us, dancing means knowing the steps.

Following someone.
Looking good.
Getting it right.
But this is different.

At Ecstatic Dance, there are no steps to learn and nobody to follow.
And nobody is standing there judging how you move.

You might spend the first few songs barely moving.

You might close your eyes.

You might sway.

Stretch.

Shake.

Jump around like you're at a festival.

Or spend half the journey lying on the floor.

All of it is dancing.

I think one of the most beautiful moments is when someone realises:
"Nobody is watching me."
And something begins to soften.
You stop thinking so much about what your body looks like,
and start noticing what it feels like.

That's the freedom I want you to experience in our room.

So if you've been curious about Ecstatic Dance but there's a little voice saying,
"That's not really for people like me..."
Maybe this is your invitation to find out. 💛
