If you’re a rock fan from the age of 20-70 then if you’re going anywhere else in Birmingham tonight then you’re making a huge mistake because the soundtrack of your youth is all coming together tonight at Subside!
The doors are already open and tonight, Saturday May 17th, we celebrate 40 years of putting on the best rock nights in Birmingham.
From the humble beginnings in the function room of The Three Horseshoes in Stirchley (now the Bournbrook Inn) which led to the opening of the original Edwards on April 18th 1987, through XL's, The Xposure Rock Cafe, the original Institute (pre-O2), Electric Chair at Tressines, Subculture at the Carling & O2 Academys, The Cult Club at various locations, Vudu, and of course Subside, now in its 18th year since inception, we will be taking you on a journey of those 40 years both musically and visually bringing back memories for you all!
And for the first time we are bringing the DJ's from those 40 years all together for one night here at Subside!
The night begins at 8:30pm and the DJs include
Steve Webb, Paul Jones, Big Jim Booth, Ben Gale, Rob Dickens, Curtis Allen, Ben Mortiboy, Liam Morton, Joe ‘The Man’ Markham & myself.
PLUS FREE HOG Roast!
Tonight we also have a free hog roast for the first 250 customers to help you soak up the beer a little. The Hog Roast will run in the courtyard from 9:00pm till 12:00am or until they're out of stock. There will be a limited availability of a vegetarian option also.
FREE entry before 9:00pm when our regular door prices start.
