An entire week of Guest Shifts coming at ya!

As you know, the team is sexy and broken. Emphasis on the SEXY.

Fighting through the pain is a little out of reach for us this week, so to ensure the bar stays open we’ve called upon our friends from across the UK to take over our little Neighbourhood gem.

Two new bartenders every day!

BAD LUCK, BROKEN BODIES 🫠

We genuinely really bloody hate having to close, it’s incredibly frustrating and we sincerely apologise to anyone whose plans are affected tonight.

Lately we have been running on skeleton staff and the help of some friends picking up shifts here and there. Unfortunately, today it has all come to a head.

Katie has a torn thigh muscle
Courtney has a sprained ankle
Jacob has a torn rotator cuff
Danny has… well, take your pick enit

The risk of running a modest operation with limited staff is that the risk of closing for a night is drastically increased and today we are really unlucky, especially just after having the venue refurbed.

But, health comes first. So, hopefully, after some rest, painkillers and a bit of luck we will be back open tomorrow evening ready to serve all you lovely people.

Once again, our sincerest apologies and catch y’all soon.

The refurb is coming along nicely potatoes! 🥔

Still have finishing touches to put in place and we appreciate your patience while the bigger jobs have been taking place.

After 6+ years of your support, we wanted to put some more money and love into the venue you’ve kept open all this time.

Pop in this week to see the changes and as always, regulars, get those trinkets ready to place around the venue to put your mark on the new design.

We even created a standing spot which increases covers for those popping in for a quick drink, waiting for a table to be free or for those that prefer to stand.

The wonderful made all our new furniture uniquely for us and it looks absolutely fantastic.

The garden is well underway and just needs some personal touches now, so as the sun becomes friendlier over the coming weeks, we will also have this space back open Thursday-Saturday to maximise more guests visiting us.

We appreciate you, can’t wait to host you, open from 5pm x

CLASS BAR AWARDS 2026

We may need another shelf

We did it! We came home with another Best Bar in the Midlands Award and the one we really craved this year, Best Cocktail Menu 2026!

Every accolade we accomplish is so important to us, to show off our neighbourhood, our team, our creativity.
The menu ‘PUB’ is something we have wanted to do for a long time, as we are a cocktail bar with a pub atmosphere. And what’s the best bar in the world? A PUB. Always.

Thanks to everyone! Hospitality and our community, you make our jobs more fun than we could ever imagine and you really keep us on our toes!

REFURB

As some of you may know, we’ve been slowly refurbishing the venue over the past few weeks. From new colour palettes to sexy new furniture 💅

We were hoping we could get it all done outside of our opening hours, but alas we’ve hit a snag with it today.

Unfortunately we need 24 hours to tide over the last few bits and bobs and will hopefully be back open for you all of you lovely people tomorrow from 4pm.

We are shook.
This is so incredible and we are so grateful.

Being recognised in 6 categories makes us feel like all this hard work and commitment to creativity + community over the last 6 years is really paying off and being noticed.
In this crazy world we live in, anything wonderful should be enjoyed and celebrated, so seriously, thank you to all our hospitality friends.

But less of the emotional, as we are a very unserious bunch of potatoes, and if our jobs aren’t fun, what’s the point ey?
Are we mashed potato? That’s an unserious potato.

As you know, we never take a good stage picture, it’s maybe just who we are. If we took a good one, would you be disappointed? Probably.

So if we are lucky enough to make it to the stage for any award, what would you like our celebration stance/dance/pose to be?
Pop it in the comments and we may just (likely) honour it.

Temporary Tuesday Closures (BRB)

As a team of 3, we are working our ti***es and booties off and are absolutely loving how wonderfully crazy the last few months have been.
But to make sure we don’t burn ourselves out, we will be closed on Tuesdays, TEMPORARILY, until we are a team of 4.
The power of 4 will help us more. ✌🏽

It’s such a great regulars hang out on Tuesday’s so we will miss it, but do not fret, we will be back to it from the 14th April. Just 4 to miss before we are all eating Dave’s deluxe delights of crisps once more, with many Jamo Gingers and Whisky Macs.

We are so stunned, humbled and elated to be crowned the No. 1 Bar in the UK at this year’s UK Top 50 Bar Awards!

OVER. THE. FRIGGIN’. MOON.

This week has been a bit like a dream. The support, the camaraderie, the LOVE. To celebrate amongst friends and colleagues alike was the best bloody reward there could be and we are so utterly, eternally grateful.
