Thank you for our first founding members and to everyone else…this is why you should join!

We decided to launch our membership because so many want to support what we are doing. People want to buy into it which is a wonderful thing. You get loads of great perks (10% drinks discount, tickets, exclusives + more) AND every penny of membership paid for goes toward our creative programme: It pays for artists and djs, the bands that play, the groups that meet and sound technicians that make it sound great. Wet sales (drinks) as they are called cannot possibly pay the bills, and there are many bills. But please keep on drinking, it’s that that will keep us afloat (excuse the pun). However membership, that’s for the special stuff. That’s for this weekend it’s for It’s been for and will be for all the great things we have planned. Be part of the plan, the greater, better plan for Ashton-Under-Lyne.

FRIDAY
Exhibition launch ~ fannyrasche you won’t see more of an eclectic range of bespoke bags in the world. Some funny, some rude, some digital, some plane ✈️. A curated selection will be hanging around all weekend!
Book/art shop launch ~ welcome to a new age! We’ll be showcasing the work of makers, writers, artists and creatives in the soon to be new Nico Ditch Shop

SATURDAY
Open Decks 1-7pm. Bring some music, play some of ours. It’s a birthday party and it’ll start the celebrations.

8pm - Late ~ Yonner ★ All Vinyl will be bringing their usual great music, great vibes and great crowd. All vinyl. The big party and knees up is here! Let your hair down, bend your knees and shake your tail feather. THE NICO DITCH CELEBRATES BEING 2! Anyone who has bought a drink here, supported an event, asked yourself who we are but never walked through the door…WE WANT YOU HERE FOR THE PARTY

SUNDAY
2pm -4pm~ The Nico Ditch heritage walk lead by local historian Roy Parkes. Roy is an expert on the 1000 year old earthwork named The Nico Ditch which still exists in Ashton Moss and various points throughout Manchester. The walk will take around 2 hours with muddy parts at points and will travel as far as Droylsden before a bus/tram back to The Nico Ditch for a well earned drink.

6pm - 8pm ~ Film Screening
We’ll be finishing the birthday weekend with a hangover curing comedy film (TBA). Come and relax watching in our 100 year old cinema seats with free popcorn. Grab a beer and enjoy.

All of the events during our birthday weekend are free. Come and enjoy and grab a couple of bevvies. Every purchase of a drink helps us programme more and more events and really supports the work we are doing 🍻 🍷
