Owner of Vice City
From working the doors of Vice in its early days, to pulling pints behind the bar, to now owning and running the place — Shane's journey has come full circle. His story is one of hard work, passion, and an unshakable commitment to bringing Vice back to life and better than ever.
With years of experience in the bar and nightclub industry, Shane knows the ins and outs of what it takes to create a place where people feel welcome, excited, and safe. He’s not the type to sit back and watch — you’ll find him on the floor alongside the team, serving drinks, chatting with customers, and doing what he loves most: building something special with the people around him.
Vice isn’t just a bar to Shane — it’s a vision, a community, and a place that means something to a lot of people in Ashington. Want a sneak peek of what’s to come on our huge opening night – 9th May?

Tonight at 6:45 PM, we’re hosting a special pop-up show featuring Walker (one of our headline acts for opening night) along with a very special guest!

This will be held upstairs at Vice City, in our brand-new event space.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

No entry into the downstairs section of the venue.

Do not enter the venue until instructed by a member of the Vice team.

Entry is via the side door only.

No alcohol is to be brought onto the premises — if you are seen with alcohol, you will be asked to leave immediately.

Nothing will be sold by the venue tonight (no alcohol or soft drinks available).

This event is completely FREE to attend and is strictly 18+.

On behalf of all of us here at vice city we would like to wish our new owner Shane a very massive HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! 🎂🥳🎉

The past few weeks Shane has been doing everything he can to ensure vice city reopens but that we also have something for everyone to enjoy! So we hope yous will all join us in hoping he has had a good day and plenty rest ready for everything to be finalised over the next couple weeks !!
