Welcome back to Mexico ✨
This time, I’m taking you to one of the most charming and culturally rich cities — Puebla, known as the City of Tiles.
From the warmest street encounters to centuries-old architecture, this journey is filled with colour, flavour, and soul.
We begin with a simple morning — churros and kindness from a stranger — and continue through the heart of the historic centre, beautifully decorated for Día de los Mu***os.
Inside the elegant Casa de la Cultura de Puebla, we discover the extraordinary Biblioteca Palafoxiana — the oldest public library in the Americas, where time seems to stand still.
Standing before the majestic Puebla Cathedral, we explore the meaning behind the sacred Puerta del Perdón — a rare “Door of Forgiveness” opened only during special Jubilee years.
Of course, no visit is complete without food — from authentic tacos árabes at Antigua Taquería La Oriental to rich, unforgettable mole at El Mural de los Poblanos.
As a designer, I couldn’t resist visiting the iconic La Abeja — a hidden gem of traditional denim craftsmanship — and stepping into the world of Talavera ceramics at Talavera La Colonial.
We continue to the artistic soul of the city at Barrio del Artista, before slowing down with coffee at Black Cat & Black Rabbit Cafe.
The next day takes us to Cholula, where ancient history meets breathtaking views — from the colourful Callejón de los Sapos to the stunning Church of San Francisco Acatepec and the iconic Great Pyramid of Cholula.
We end the journey with unforgettable views, ancient rituals, and, of course… more mole.
Puebla is not just a destination —
it’s a feeling.
