Arhiiv WAS a cultural venue oriented in hosting a myriad of events, based in the cellar of Estonian Writers Union between January 2014-June 2019 it has a strong backbone of literature events (poetry readings, slams, book presentations, quiz nights etc) that usually take place mid-week. During weekend nights the venue really used to pick up as it turned into the very center of Tartus house & techno
music scene, hosting the very best of local DJ talents from Tartu, Tallinn and abroad in tandem with colourful decorations, mind-blowing visuals and UV-lights. Every now and then there were live music performers having a gig, entrance fee is usually student-friendly ranging between 0-5€
Arhiiv was also known for its support towards LGBT communities. Everyone is very welcome to have the best of times no matter the age, ethnicity or sexual orientation.
