I am gonna tell you about walking into an oasis
and feeling like I just was just walking into my families living room
it was more just walking into their living room
it was more like about completely being save
from the social restrictions of the outside
Everything that the moral majority told you
you couldn’t do, it didnt exist anymore.
It was a family that had only one rule:
to love thy brother - and that was OK
when I think about this oasis
this place the of total freedom
I cant help but feel like I lost a part of myself
a part of my family, thats why its not about the space itself, its about he community thats inside the space that helps bring your back to that moment
when you,
the DJ and everybody involved
it was you and them
against the world
and we survived together
it was like very underground
it was like a secret network
it was word of mouth

So very proud to playing some vinyl records at RIAA with my bestiiiiiiii Verena Mogl and paying tribute to the Paradise Garage and its closing almost exactly 35 years ago. Larry Levan was the biggest influence in my musical taste as a very average DJ, thank you 💜
