SUNTORY x GARÇON

During this years Oktoberfest we are happy to announce a very special cooperation with the House of Suntory. The idea is to turn Garçon slightly into a japanese inspired listening bar.

For that we created a whole new menu around Suntory’s amazing spirits , & - combining japanese craftmanship with european terroir.

On top we have the opportunity to serve you some of the finest .

During the next two weeks we will give you more informations about our drinks, the process behind it and everything that makes this cooperation so special!

Please note: No Tracht at Garçon. Just like every other year, our bar is not the place to be if you have been to Oktoberfest and look for something exciting. We provide a space for everybody who likes to have a little hideout from the owrld’s biggest beer fest.

Whiskey Sours Week

As every year we end the month of August with a little celebration of one of the most iconic Drinks - and a benchmark for many guests: The Whiskey Sour. Our friends from challenge us every year to create a special cocktail menu for one week, featuring 3 versions of the Whiskey Sour - starting this friday.

Besides the comeback of last year’s favorite MONZA (served as a Milk Punch this time), we serve a light footed and refreshing Drink we call FLOWER BOY, and finally gave space to an off-the-menu-evergreen at Garçon, the CLASSIC RIPOFF.

As usual we create Drinks around amazing products sourced as close to our Bar as we can. We work with since quite a few years now, and again and again we fall in love with this Whiskey sourced from rye growing around the distillery situated a little south of Berlin.

So come by and give it a try!

AUGUST OPENING HOURS

While some of us are on holiday, we will open the Bar in August Monday to Friday as usual from 5pm to midnight, but only from 4pm on Saturdays.

This way we can serve you one hour more of Wine & Aperitif Drinks, but the Café stays closed and will be open again from the first Saturday in September.

Enjoy the sunny days and see you early in the evnings.

OPENING DAYS CHRISTMAS
This year again we are closed for christmas dec 24th to 26th, but will be back for the holiday week from dec 27th until dec 30th.
New Years we will celebrate with our families and friends and take a few days off, so we will be closed dec 31st until jan 3rd. On jan 4th we will be back open as usual!
Thank you for an amazing year together, for everybody stopping by, helping us out and making our bar the lovely place it is.

SATSUMA

Autumn begins with the start of the citric fruit season. Our first pick for our new menu is a japanese tangerine (mandarine) variation, which luckily is grown and farmed as well in sicily, called SATSUMA.
This type has a green skin and orange, juicy, sweet pulp. The rich lemonade we make of it is paired with gin, mineralic dry vermouth and a touch of yellow stone fruits.

We constantly work on NEW DRINKS. If it is to add a drink with a fresh seasonally grown ingredient we found on the market, to launch a new menu, or add a drinks that adds something new to the existing one.
Sometimes trying new things happens when we have time on quiet evenings, or a regular asking for something new. And sometimes we meet up to bring all our ideas to the table. 4 menus a year, one for each season. Many many drinks we drank, and many more to come.

WHISKEY SOUR WEEK
Our friends from invited us to join their Germany wide celebration of the most iconic Sour. Their whiskey fits perfect in our idea of a sustainable cocktail bar working with products as regional and good as possible, while they produce close to Berlin, using the rye that’s growing there.
After some years of working with them, we know the strengths and weeknesses of that whiskey quite good. As a result, we created three a bite more delicate sours, one even using Verjus as a more regional acid-alternative compared to our organic sicilian lemons, which are hard to get during summer.
So, without further ado, these beauties are on our menu for sou to try from today on until next week saturday.
