> One of techno’s true people < is a bold claim for an artist bio, but Sunil Sharpe lives up to it. The Irish artist is not only an acclaimed DJ with dexterous technical skills, a selector who draws you in for a closer look, but much more besides. He has released on labels such as BPitch Control, Mord and Sheworks and runs his own Earwiggle imprint, too. Beyond the booth, he is a promoter, educator and tireless advocate for nightlife, from DJ workshops to campaigning for a more progressive approach to Ireland’s restrictive licensing laws. In other words: Sunil Sharpe keeps the bigger picture in view. And the music? Coarse, uncompromising techno, delivered with nimble fingers and unmistakable intent.

DJ MARIA. represents another artist committed to nurturing spaces for new experiences. Based in Japan and involved with the Moment Festival and Transcendence Festival, she stands for a new generation of Japanese psychedelic techno full of intricate, hallucinogenic and immersive detailwork.
Muallem and Reduks aren’t just two core members of Blitz Club (the former as the club’s founder, the latter as one of its freshest creative voices) they also share ties through Muallem’s Childhood label, with new releases by Reduks arriving soon. The two well-connected selectors will add the final touches to the Blitz Floor programme.
Speaking of Childhood affiliates, the PLUS floor welcomes CYRK and Ed Davenport (aka Inland), alongside local selector Tanjuesch, whose Softtheory mix series zooms in on minimal-indebted tech house nell’adagio.
While Davenport’s Inland alias explores darker and more introspective strains of techno, he has recently expanded his artistic range through the Globuli imprint, indulging in acid- and prog-leaning house and techno. Releases on labels such as Running Back, Dischi Autunno, Polari Records and Freeride Millennium - alongside Childhood, of course - help map the sound of CYRK: rooted in Italo disco with a knack for Detroit-inflected electro, house and acid.

Room For Music : Blitz Listening Sessions

Start 20:00 (till END). Every Thursday.
No presale. Donation based entry!

*** New dates announced with Orbital Reflector (19.03) & New Basement (26.03) ***

With Rooms For Music: Blitz Listening Sessions, we lean into something quieter and perhaps more radical. Across twelve Thursday evenings, we refurnish the floor at Blitz Club into a casual bar and hangout space, complete with special drinks, as local collectives, labels and community-driven initiatives take over to curate nights devoted not to dancing, but to listening.
Inspired by classic listening sessions yet firmly rooted in Munich’s present, Rooms For Music shifts attention to the B-sides and the details between the beats, reconnecting with our former format Before The Party Starts.

We open(ed) the series with evenings hosted by the labels Ilian Tape and Squama, followed by local collective Orbital Reflector - experienced with listening formats, such as their FORUM series - and young independent label New Basement, with more to follow.

Each invited group shapes its own dramaturgy: from ambient excursions, artist talks and deep techno meditations to jazz-informed dialogues, post-punk reflections and beyond. We’re excited to see these ideas unfold and where the series will go!

The dancefloor becomes a seated space for concentrated listening on Blitz’s finely tuned sound system. Donation-based entry keeps it accessible.
Rooms For Music is dedicated to sounds and sonic expressions rarely heard within the club’s walls before we close our first chapter on the Museumsinsel. We’re opening our private ritual and inviting everyone to join.

Upcoming dates:
March : 12.03 w/ .rec 19.03 w/ Orbital Reflector • 26.03 • w/ .computer
April : 02.04 • 09.04 • 16.04 • 23.4 • 30.04 •
May : 07.05 • (FR) 15.05 • 21.05

This project is funded by City of Munich / Department of Arts & Culture. Thanks!

Aurora Halal is an artist whose work creates worlds.
Known for her hardware live sets and immersive DJ per formances, Halal invites listeners into a realm that fuses shadowy sensualit y, deep emotional resonance and playful surprises. Halal’s sound is fluid yet exacting - an open-minded definition of psychedelic techno that pulses with intuition, grit, and infectious energy while smoothly exploring many musical terrains.

Rooted in New York, she’s known for creating space for the underground to thrive through Sustain-Release, the upstate festival she founded 10 years ago, and her influential party series Mutual Dreaming. Across these platforms, she’s championed a vision of dance music that is raw, complex and spiritually charged, all while being entirely DIY and community run.

The Exaltics LIVE

Ticketlink in bio. Start 23.00.

Clone Records began with a classic DIY story in Rotterdam in 1993: its founder Serge initially saw the label simply as a way to release his own records quickly, rather than relying on others.

The label’s name itself was meant as an acknowledgement: > I was inspired by Warehouse Records by Armando, Underground Resistance, Bunker Records, and had a lot of respect for Alleviated Records by Larry Heard < he once recalled, referencing his American inspirations. > There was a huge DIY culture back then — people doing something they loved on their own little platform. <

From it’s humble beginnings, Clone quickly grew into an international distribution business and a beloved record store in Rotterdam. Over the years, the label has released music by artists such as Legowelt, Drexciya, Alden Tyrell, ADULT. and Duplex, among many others. Yet contrary to popular belief, Clone was never just about electronic music. > We always tried to stock music from artists and labels that we liked or respected — whether it was dubstep, drum & bass, or obscure modern electronica that would never get played in a club, < Serge adds.

Now the institution returns to Blitz Club. Alongside Serge himself - and you can trust a record store owner to have an informed taste, a good prerequisite for any DJ - the lineup features Dutch vinyl-only selector Afra, influenced by the sounds of Detroit, Berlin and her musical home: Rotterdam. She is joined by Marcel Dettmann and a live set from The Exaltics, whose appearance reflects the label’s long-running affinity for electro: > There was probably a certain melancholy to that music that influenced us a lot. < the labelowner remembers.

Ostgut Ton affiliate Marcel Dettmann barely needs an introduction: raw and dark yet irresistibly swinging, there are countless facets to the Berlin techno paragon’s oeuvre.

> There’s darkness, but it’s also soothing and sexy. I want to create a vulnerable space where you can reflect on what’s going on internally, but then have swells of climax to lose yourself in. < Aurora Halal once described her sound this way. Her press release speaks of > a vision of dance music that is raw, complex and spiritually charged < and it takes only moments within her mixes or productions to hear to prove her claims justice.

Her detailed, immersive strain of techno reflects her many artistic dimensions: DJ, producer and live performer, founder of the Sustain-Release festival, and head of the Mutual Dreaming imprint and party series. Perhaps it’s also her work as a visual artist and videographer that lends her sound its cinematic and evocative depth.

Canada’s Priori is another kind of sonic alchemist, a selector with near-synaesthetic instincts and a deep affinity for film and video game aesthetics. His productions share Halal’s ocular edge (both have appeared on Paul St. Hilaire’s recent album too), and drift between techno, dub, bass, IDM and ambient, with a strong narrative pull well displayed on album format. Alongside releases on his own NAFF Recordings, his latest work landed on Kynant Records, and he recently unveiled the debut album of his Jump Source project, exploring the junction of dance and pop.

And our resident Victor? Our friend with the versatile record bag is a fitting match for our eclectic guests from North America and is living proof that a > jack of all trades < doesn’t have to mean master of none.

livwutang sits within a modern continuum of DJs whose sound can’t be contained to one particular style or genre - she instead delivers a
distinctly eclectic array of exuberant kinetics, introspective strength, & chaotic dexterity to any dancefloor she’s a part of.
Beginning her DJing journey amidst the liberated frequencies of pirate radio & the psychedelic embrace of DIY rave in Seattle, her
expressive practice has only continued to evolve & connect her inner world to those around her.
Underpinned by buoyancy & an unrestrained sense of manifestation, her mixing accesses a constantly shifting point of serenity -
subtly creating full fledged sensory experiences, always attuned to immersive narrative building & delivered with a keen sense of
danceability, confidence, & poise.
It’s within this spellbinding maelstrom that she brings a unique & adventurous flare to DJing, constantly reinventing her present
surroundings to create innovative glances into the past & future.
While her style is grounded within the unifying spatial awareness of dub and the joys of dance music’s renegade sound, lifelong influences
from her musical upbringing are channeled into her enthralling musical vision - an enchanting sonic palette deftly maneuvering between
the jubilant rhythms of Central & Western Africa, the innovative momentum of Black American music, & an expansive love of timeless
vocal flourishes and earworm melodies from the last 60 years of popular music.
Based in New York City since 2021, she’s already hit a stride playing beloved sets at the dweller, Honcho Campout and Sustain-Release
festivals. Having captivated airwaves the world over with a slew of mixes for Dekmantel, Truants, Animalia, & Dimensions Festival, her
international profile is only set to bloom further throughout the future.

Rumour has it that British-Chilean DJ and producer Shanti Celeste avoids minor keys just to make sure everyone has a good time on the dancefloor: > I don’t want people to be sad on the dance floor! < Known for her contemporary UK take on house, techno and garage, she embraces a distinctly feminine aesthetic and a subtle, refreshing knack for pop music at its most bubblegum.

She has proven her ability to adapt her sound for extended listening on her debut LP Tangerine, and on her second album, Romance (summer 2025), she expands her sonic colour palette even further toward pop. Romance hints at the album’s themes and marks the first time she fully embraces her own vocals and singing. Arguably, this gives the Peach Discs founder the freedom to approach infectious and vivacious music — whether dance, pop, or the sweet spot where both worlds collide, from multiple perspectives, with a whole new set of tools. If there was ever any doubt about the captivating potential of her approach, consider it settled. Shanti Celeste is a firm believer in dance music’s capacity for joy.

She’s joined by Peach, fittingly an affiliate of Peach Discs. The Canadian-born, UK-based DJ and producer also runs her own label, Psychic Readings, alongside the mix and interview series Sixth Sensem perhaps hinting at a penchant for the supernatural. Her newest venture, Dreamland, underlines that intuition, but it’s a community-driven zine dedicated not just to clubs in general, but to smaller venues in particular. > Without them as an entry point, many people would not discover new music and artists, or share moments with friends […]. One of our focuses with Dreamland is to celebrate these spaces,” she says. We like. And while her ethos is rooted in intimacy, she’s equally capable of scaling her buoyant, colourful take on tech house from cozy clubs to vast rooms.

Last but not least, our resident vince frames the night, armed with profound knowledge of clubs in all shapes and sizes, and a firm focus on the fun in funk across house and techno.
