Der Verein macht sich zur Aufgabe, die Musik- und Kulturszene in Gladbeck und Umgebung zu fördern, indem Konzerte verschiedener musikalischer Stile (Rock, HipHop, Heavy Metal, usw.) veranstaltet und andere kulturelle Highlights (Theater-, Comedy- und Kleinkunst-Abende) anbietet. Dazu gehören grö
ßere Festivals und auch kleinere Konzerte, z.B. Das Publikum bewegt sich dabei in einem Alter von 14 bis 60 Jahren oder auch gerne älter. Der „FRG.“ setzt sich für eine positive Jugendkultur ein. Weiterhin stellt er für lokale, nationale und auch internationale Bands/Künstler eine Plattform bereit bei der Jung und Alt zusammen kommen können. Er arbeitet gerne mit anderen Initiativen (u.a. evgl. Kirche / Stadt Gladbeck) zusammen, ist behilflich bei der Organisation von Konzerten und/oder Events und verleiht die angeschaffte Technik (Ton, Licht, Bühne) gerne an andere Organisationen weiter. Im ehemaligen Gladbecker Dröhnschuppen (jetzt 3eck) veranstaltet der FRG e.V. verschiedene Konzerte. Die Location erwacht bei jedem Event aus dem Dornröschenschlaf und wird zum Dröhnschuppen ... denn ... der ist Kult in Gladbeck.
