Market Apéro is back for good! We were a bit surprised how busy we got on our first Market Apéro and decided to open every SUNNY Saturday (we skipped the last two weeks because of bad weather). For the rest of the summer, you can join us 3-7 p.m. after your Winterfeldt Markt visit. We serve Espresso Martini Affogatos, Select Spritz, Negronis, non-alcoholic drinks and more, all for special prizes and accompanied by a small aperitif platter on the house!

This Saturday: Market Apéro starting 15.00!
We love Winterfeldtmarkt, an endless source of local produce, speciality ingredients, flowers and small bites. Next Saturday, we decided to open Green Door early with some easy Apero drink specials, fresh market fruit and a small aperitif platter to accompany your drinks. Have a drink in the sun with us!

Tomorrow, the Green Door quietly turns 31 years old. After celebrating big last year, we will keep the bar closed for the night and share some Champagne with our team.

Today is the perfect day to talk about our fabulous boss, Andrea Kuhn, a literary scholar and film dramatic adviser.
Her husband, screenwriter, actor, writer and jazz musician Fritz Müller-Scherz, opened Green Door in 1995. If Andrea Kuhn had not taken over the bar after he died 10 years ago, the Green Door would probably not be what it is today.

Andrea lives right over the bar in an iconic apartment filled with books, art and obscure objects. She runs the bar as her extended living room, often greeting guests on busy nights, having Midnight Martinis or coming down for a quick picnic of oysters and Champagne before the shift starts. She not only demonstrates that there is no age limit on coolness, but that you can become an award-winning bar operator at any point in your life. There is hope for all of us to age with grace, humour, a large social circle and a successful career. 💚
