Hi All!
We need your help for a project I'm spearheading in my local community here in Colombia.
Basic infrastructure in rural Colombia is not always adequate and there is nowhere more evident than on a street I pass by on a daily basis. Grey water is flowing untreated from up to 20 houses into an open canal that is badly degraded and ends up in the street where families with young children are required to pass everyday. If the water manages to stay in the canal, it ends up in stream that another community further down the mountain uses for their primary water source.
After numerous meetings with the families in the area to determine how we can improve the conditions, there are clear solutions, with only one obstacle, money to complete the project.
This is where I need your help. With your contribution, we will be able to canalize and treat the grey water and improve the living condition of hundreds of disadvantaged people who live in the area. A little money goes a long way here in Colombia so no contribution is too small.
I will be managing the project myself with the help of local community leaders and the neighborhood affected. Once funding has been secured, I will be posting updates of the project and it's long term impact on the community.
