What is happening in Penicillin Shanghai?!
This is the question going around town.
Since December 8th, 2025, two Shanghai local minority shareholders (Tracy Hui, Yao Xiao
and accomplice Peyton Wang), without legal authorization, arbitrarily interfered with staff
arrangements, financial management, and daily operations. Since that day, this has no longer
been the true Penicillin.
The true Penicillin team has been working continuously โ quietly, tirelessly, and with integrity
โ to resolve these issues and restore the bar to what it was always meant to be.
Like fermentation, real change takes time.
We believe in patience, in process, and in transformation.
Behind the scenes, we are protecting the heart of Penicillin: sustainability, creativity,
conscious drinking, and thoughtful hospitality. We are nurturing ideas, rebuilding foundations,
and allowing this moment to become part of our evolution โ not our ending.
Penicillin has always stood for more than cocktails.
