The Honduran White Bat, also called the Caribbean White Tent-making Bat, is a tiny bat known for its eye-catching white fur. This unusual white color helps it hide by blending in with the sunlight that shines through the treetops. It lives in the lowland rainforests of Central America, including places like Honduras, Costa Rica, and western Panama. This bat is quite small, with a wingspan of about 4 inches and a weight of just 5-6 grams.

We lost another mezcalero this year. Sadly, Don Tomás Gutiérrez passed away at the age of 87. He and his son Emiliano are third and fourth generation mezcaleros in the hills above Chilapa de Alvarez, Guerrero. Don Thomás had over 60 years of experience producing mezcal. His legacy will live on through his family which continues to produce mezcal.

Hace 5 años comenzamos la materialización de un sueño integrado por muchas ideas, la creación de ha sido la gestación de un proyecto de vida, de familia y de todo un equipo que ha sumado tiempo, dedicación, esfuerzo y mucha pasión.
Gracias a nuestras aliadas de ha sido posible que la exposición fotográfica de proyecto LAM pueda viajar y atravesar un océano para mostrar al mundo la belleza e importancia del captado a través de la lente de asesor y miembro de Proyecto LAM.
