From 7:00–8:00 PM, Ale Cartín and friends will set the mood with live music.

IXCATECO - PAPALOME

This expression from Amando Alvarez is a true traditional Mezcal. The agave is crushed by hand, fermented for five days in cowhide and then double-distilled in clay pots. A true Ancestral Mezcal, offering remarkable complexity and a unique drinking experience. The Papalome agave ued for this Mezcal matured for 10 years before being harvested.

On the nose, it reveals aromas of leather, wet earth, and subtle lactic notes. On the palate, it shows great complexity with elegant cocoa flavors and a rich texture.

Definitely a Mezcal for true agave enthusiasts.

MORELOS

For the past few weeks, we’ve been serving our new cocktail menu at La Catedral. Every drink has been carefully crafted and is the perfect match for these warm summer days. Just like the Morelos:

A cocktail full of character, featuring our homemade elderflower horchata, altos tequila blanco, cempasúchil - a traditional Mexican flower - hibiscus and cinnamon.

A beautifully floral cocktail with a gentle spicy kick, perfectly balanced and simply delicious.

After unveiling our new signature-drinks, it’s finally time to introduce our new food menu.

Over the past few months, we’ve been creating, tasting, refining and perfecting every dish until we were truly happy with the final result. And from next week on, you’ll finally be able to experience them for yourself.

From classics like Queso Fundido to refreshing Aguachile de Tomate, every plate reflects our love for traditional Mexican cuisine with a fresh, modern interpretation. The result is a menu full of vibrant flavours, perfect for sharing and made for the summer.

NEW MENU ALERT - The journey through Mexico continues!

At La Catedral, we’re excited to introduce our brand-new cocktail menu, featuring 10 new signature cocktails and 5 alcohol-free signatures, inspired by 10 different states of Mexico.

As always, flavour and balance are at the heart of everything we do, with drinks that are perfect for the hot summer days and warm nights.

The cocktails were created by Luis, Simi, and John. After extensive research into the typical ingredients and flavours of Mexico’s different regions, they develop homemade ingredients that form the foundation of each cocktail. The final touches are then refined as a team, allowing every drink to benefit from a wide range of ideas and perspectives. Only when everything is just right does a cocktail earn its place on the menu.

New to our drinks menu are our Boilermakers - carefully crafted pairings of a spirit and a refreshing beverage, designed to keep you cool throughout the summer nights.

You’ll also find our full selection of wines, beers, soft drinks, and coffee in the new menu.

The menu was once again designed by Oscar Reyes ( Oscar Reyes ), our trusted graphic designer from Mexico City, adding another authentic touch to the entire experience.

Attention, attention!

Even if it doesn’t really look like it at the moment, we’re hoping that the long awaited summer finally arrives by mid-June. At La Catedral, it definitely will, because that’s when we’ll be changing our entire cocktail menu.

Until then, you still have the chance to enjoy the delicious signatures from our current menu. Like the Mazatlán. A drink where rum is infused with toasted coconut flakes and almonds. Combined with our homemade tepache and a splash of coffee distillate, it becomes the perfect sparkling drink for both indoors and sunny terrace evenings.

Big news from La Catedral 🤩

We’re incredibly happy to share that we’ve been awarded a Pinnacle by Pinnacle Guide.

This recognition means a lot to us because it looks far beyond just the drinks. Hospitality, consistency, atmosphere, team culture, service, knowledge, and the overall guest experience all play a part in the evaluation - including visits from anonymous reviewers.

Being one of five bars in Switzerland to receive this recognition makes us very proud, but more than anything, grateful. Grateful for our team, our guests, and everyone who spends their evenings with us.
