i-vye

i-vye is a project by yara dulac gisler that moves across sound, text, and performance. Working with voice and electronics, her practice shifts between articulation and disruption to attend to how meaning circulates and attention is shaped. Its textures draw on years of difficult sleep, working their way through sound in process. The work unfolds through live performances and recorded pieces that explore listening.

LATE LATIN NIGHTS ARE BACK!

And we’re very excited for this one, because there’s going to be an additonal dance workshop!

On September 13th, we’re coming together again.

17:00–18:00: LATINX FLOW with Benita 💃🏽
Cumbia, salsa, folklore, baile libre y más. A dance workshop to move, learn, play and have some fun. Pay what you can via TWINT.

18:00–20:00: LAMARA
DJ LAMARA is a DJ originally from Bern and currently based in Zurich, with Bolivian roots. Since 2024, she has been bringing her energy to the dancefloor with a vibrant mix of cumbia, salsa, reggaeton, and Latin classics. Her sets blend energy, nostalgia, and good vibes, creating moments of connection and celebration through music.

20:00–22:00: DJ TAZDENADA
Brazil-rooted and Zürich-based, DJ tazdenada’s curiosity for her roots keeps pulling her deeper into the diversity of Brazilian funk. Her sets center FLINTA voices while embracing the genre in all its richness, blending its many forms with sounds that move her, made to move bodies and shake booties.

We are very excited for the dance workshop we’ll have this time, followed by two amazing DJ sets. Make sure to come early, because Monday we all gotta work again, but a little late Latin night never hurt nobody.

We reopen raving season with a cosmic journey through time and space.

Known for their eclectic programming, playful approach, and attachment to art and fashion beyond music, Sameheads is definitely a venue that inspires us. As they celebrate 20 turns around the sun of strange, beautiful, sweaty, artsy, fashiony, genre-bending club chaos, the club brings its anniversary energy to ZW’s Beschallungsraum with an all-time favorites lineup of artists who have shaped its sound and spirit over the years. Balance Crew from Sameheads will get the spaceship off the ground, a live by Fantastic Twins will take us into the unknown, Elena Colombi will keep us tripping and finally DJ Altstetten b2b Tankwart will add some Zurich powder to the Berlin dancefloor.

In KW, rock’n’roll and eclectic fun take over, as Hollabackshroom and the Cramzers bring their selection of psychedelia. And when the legs start giving up, Schmusi Kollektiv will be waiting in the Halle with the soft stuff: cosmic cuddles, dreamy frequencies and the perfect chill-out soundtrack until the very end. Don’t go home.

“What am I dancing to?” I wondered. “Forget hinc & hunc,” answers the spaceship. “Come early, stay late, and travel with us.”

Wir feiern unser Erwachen aus der Sommerpause mit der ersten Ausgabe von ZW-TalkIN*

Für den Auftakt des neuen Formates widmen wir uns dem Thema «Die Zukunft der Grossareale». Als Startschuss der Veranstaltung freuen wieginn der Veranstaltung den Film «Barbara Buser - Pionierin der Nachhaltigkeit» zeigen zu dürfen. Die anschliessende Podiumsdiskussion widmet sich den Themen Kreislaufwirtschaft, nachhaltiges Bauen und inwiefern Grossareale eine prägende Rolle in der Zukunftsgestaltung dieser Stadt spielen. Gemeinsam möchten wir der Frage nachgehen, wie ökologische, soziale und wirtschaftliche Nachhaltigkeit in der Transformation bestehender Areale zusammen gedacht werden können.

Mit dabei: Sabeth Tödtli von Urban Équipe, Sandra König von AMJGS und Katharina Riedl von Bau-Teilen. Moderiert wird das Gespräch von Luna Sonia Sagasser, die bei ÖBU (Verband für nachhaltiges Wirtschaften) im Bereich Kreislaufwirtschaft und Kommunikation arbeitet.

Diese Woche bereiten wir das ZW auf die neue Saison vor – und es ist so schön, wieder zurück zu sein! Wir haben es mehr denn je vermisst, euch bei uns zum Lunch, auf einen Drink oder bei unseren Events zu sehen.

Artist Announcement: Cosey Mueller

Emerging from the depths of Berlin’s underground scene, Cosey Mueller is a self made musician who explores electronic sounds in the most intuitive way, never forgetting her love for rock n roll. After releasing her debut album ,Interior Escapes, in 2021 she is back with a new release ‚Irrational Habits‘ in 2023. Her music is characterised by repetitive synth melodies, explosive beats, expressive vocals and a playful use of language. It makes you travel to another time, not making sure if that time ever existed. A pulsating, shimmering and danceable live experience is guaranteed.

Cosey Mueller is a musician and artist currently living and working in Berlin. After finishing her studies in fine art at Udk Berlin in 2018 she started her musical career as one half of the synthpunk duo DAS DAS whith which they released two albums “DAS DAS (S/T)“ in 2020 and “Leben in Bildschirmen“ in 2021 (label: Detriti). She also played synthesizer in the hardcore/experimental group Glaas whith which she co- released their debut album “Qualm” in 2022 and their EP “Cruel heart cold Summer” in 2023 (label: Static Shock).
