Join us every Saturday, at the Kildonan Park duck pond this summer, for a free crash course (designed for complete beginners) in swing dancing starting at 7 pm followed by a social swing dance from 7:30 - 9:30 pm.

Our organizer has been very sick today and, in her exhausted and ill state, completely forgot to post the cancellation notice before the event start time. She sincerely apologizes for the late notice and any inconvenience this may cause.

⚠️ No Swing Thing at Kildonan Park this Saturday — because we’ll all be dancing at this fantastic free social instead!

Christine and Ricky are hosting a FREE swing dance night at Ted Motyka's Dance Studio featuring the Murray Riddell Big Band, and everyone is welcome to come celebrate their engagement with them.

Ted Motyka’s is almost certainly the fanciest dance hall in Winnipeg, so this is a rare chance to dance in a truly beautiful ballroom completely free.

🕖 Beginner lesson at 7 PM
🎺 Live band at 8 PM
📍 Ted Motyka Dance Studio — 460 Main St

Please remember to bring clean indoor dance shoes so we can help protect the ballroom floor. Bringing a water bottle and fan is also recommended.

💲Tickets: 100% FREE

What to Bring:
• Non-grip shoes (we dance on concrete or grass)
• A water bottle to stay hydrated
• Comfortable clothing to move in

Basic Dance Etiquette:
• Be kind and respectful to all dancers
• Always ask politely for a dance, and accept "no" graciously.
• Keep good hygiene – freshen up before the dance and bring deodorant if needed.
• Be mindful of the space around you to avoid bumping into others.
