M.I.A. offers an inclusive space for alternative & avant strains of electronic dance music - whether rooted in R&B, Hip Hop or House - all presented in a well-heeled futuristic setting. Wanting to celebrate the nuances that come from truly connecting with one another, M.I.A. encourages guests to experience the future of dance music with Vancouver’s influential locals & artistic scenes today at M.I.A. Guests tunnel into the historic Gastown based space from 350 Water Street to be greeted by a lush room boasting a mix of futuristic yet timeworn details; M.I.A. carries notes of dark, burnt wood and rich tones of purple and read while abstract L.E.D. installations across the ceiling create pulse-like light patterns connecting all corners of the room. The intimate dance floor and compact DJ booth are ringed by plush communal seating while winding past the main bar will bring guests to a a private back room Sake Bar and Gallery space showcasing local and international artists monthly Committed to keeping the the best clarify and quality in sound, the club uses Function One as it’s preferred sound system & is capable of hosting private to branded events, intimate live music and curated visual art productions that uniquely connect and engage with the community
