We are hosting a meet up and fundraiser for Pete Fry and the Vancovuer Green Party! Meet Pete Fry & Green Party Vancouver candidates. An evening for small business owners at Main Street Brewing, Mount Pleasant on Saturday, October 10th from 4 pm to 6pm.

Join fellow small business owners for an evening of connection, conversation, and community with Pete Fry, current City Councillor and Mayoral candidate for Vancouver, along with Green Party of Vancouver candidates!

For the past eight years, Pete has shown up for our community by listening to small business owners and working to make Vancouver a city where independent businesses can thrive - not just survive. As the primary opposition voice on Council for the last four years, Pete has held City Hall accountable and pushed for smarter, more responsive governance that works better for the small businesses that form the backbone of our neighbourhoods.

Whether you're a longtime supporter or still getting to know Pete's platform, this is your chance to hear directly from him, ask questions, and connect with other business owners in Mount Pleasant who care about the future of our community. Light refreshments will be provided!

Big thank you to Plant Curious for visiting Slim's BBQ to check out their vegan eats!

“If you’re going to Slim’s BBQ on Main Street why not order from the plant-based menu! 👀

Slim’s BBQ on Main Street has vegan option on their window and I’ve driven by so many times, SO we went in to find out what it was all about - and honestly, the plant-based BBQ Corn Ribs were incredibly tasty. 🔥🌽

We tried:
🌱 Vegan Pulled Pork Sandwich (BBQ Jackfruit) + tots
🌽 BBQ Corn Ribs
🔥 Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich
🥗 White Trash Wedge Salad + vegan ranch

The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was solid, the tots were obviously doing their thing, the house-made vegan ranch was nice BUT the BBQ corn ribs were super tasty!

And the cool part? The vegan option was actually cheaper than the alternative option, which is the way it should be but never is.

This might be the right spot for someone who has a partner, parent, or friend who still refuses to eat vegan... which is crazy in my books, but I know they’re still out there!”
