Nothing says “not interested” quite like putting your money where your mouth isn’t. 😂🦷
Vietnamese SFX makeup artist and content creator My Linh came up with the unusual trick after dealing with unwanted attention on nights out.
Her solution was a temporary set of prosthetic teeth designed to look dramatically crooked, oversized and rotten.
The idea was simple.
If someone wouldn't take the hint and leave her alone, Linh could simply flash her new smile.
She filmed herself trying the tactic during a night out and later shared the results online with the caption: “When the guy bothering you in the club finally leaves you alone.”
The transformation quickly attracted attention online, where people praised the creativity while also pointing out the less amusing reason behind it.
Several women said they'd developed their own strategies for dealing with unwanted attention, including fake wedding rings, imaginary boyfriends and deliberately making themselves appear less approachable.
Linh just happened to take hers to the dentist.
Behind the joke, however, was a straightforward point: people shouldn't need elaborate disguises or excuses for someone to respect a simple lack of interest.
