Every good story needs an ending, so it’s with a heavy heart that we’re announcing the closure of famous last words in January 2025.
I could not be more grateful to all the incredible people who have come through our doors in the last eight years. To every book club, first date, birthday celebration, anniversary, engagement and random get-together for pre- or post-dinner cocktails I want to say a huge thank you for turning this crazy dream into a reality.
To all our regulars: you’ve kept us company on slow nights, been patient and kind on busy ones, and have put a smile on our faces every time you pop by - you’ve made it all worthwhile and we’ll miss you more than you know. It’s been a genuine pleasure to serve you and I’m so proud of what we accomplished, the community we built and the neighbourhood we’ve been a part of.
It’s the people more than the space that really make the magic, so a massive thank you goes out to the amazing and dedicated team - past and present - who’ve worked so hard (behind the bar and behind the scenes) to make delicious drinks and create wonderful memories over the past 8 years.
I have no idea what the next chapter will look like, but I’m excited to start writing it (maybe literally, who knows?!?).
Our last days of service will be January 2nd, 3rd and 4th (business more or less as usual until then, so please come by over the holidays!). We’ll say farewell with a bang and bring the house down all weekend long.
As Margaret Sanger suggested with her famous last words: ‘A party! Let’s have a party!’
PS. Please be sure to use any outstanding gift certificates before January 4th. Any gift certificates marked for cocktail classes can be redeemed for cocktails in lieu. Please note that we are no longer accepting gift certificates without codes - if you have one of these with an outstanding balance, please email [email protected] to have it transferred.
